We are now almost fully booked over the New Year 2007/2008 in most of our ski resorts in the Canadian Rockies and Western Canada. Larger resort homes over New Year are therefore very hard to come by!

Due to a last minute cancellation, a 3-bedroom on-mountain resort home has become available for December 28 2007 for 4 nights in Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. This is an absolute gem and if you have not already snapped up a place over New Year, snap this one up!

Kicking Horse Powder Express

Experience Canada's newest ski resort in a day from Lake Louise and Banff onboard the Kicking Horse Powder Express. The price of just $90 per adult, and $80 per child/youth including ALL tax is comparable in price to that of a regular day pass in most ski resorts in Western Canada. The Kicking Horse Powder Express will operate 7 days a week from January 6 2008 until one week before the season end. From December 19 to January 6 2008, the Kicking Horse Powder Express will be only operating on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Santa Claus is coming to Banff and Canmore!

Santa Claus is coming to town!

1) "Light up Canmore" on FRI Nov 23 2007 (tonight) from 6-8pm at the Civic Centre Plaza. There will be hayrides, hot dogs and hot chocolate to celebrate this annual event in Canmore.

2) "Parade of Lights" in Banff on SAT Nov 24 2007 at 7pm. Please note that Calgary has cancelled it's parade due to construction this year, so the turn-out in Banff is likely to be high.

The "Parade of Lights" in Banff will be preceded by "Christmas in the Rockies" which includes an afternoon of activities including Ginger Bread decorating!

3) Photo opportunities with Santa are from 2 to 6pm on SAT Nov 24 2007 in Banff. Just follow the reindeer tracks or the trail of cookie crumbs to find him!

NHL Ice Hockey Tours from Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise, Whistler & Squamish

The Calgary Flames beat the Minnesota Wild last night in a great NHL Ice Hockey Game. Tours to this Ice Hockey Game were available from Lake Louise, Banff and Canmore.

Ticket prices including transport from Banff and Canmore are $125 for Green seating, $110 for Black seating, and you can pay just $10 more for an enhanced ice hockey tour package! Game Times and Tours Pick Up Times

Game times are typically at 7pm but can also be at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, and 7:30pm. Pick-up times for the ice hockey tours are usually about 2 hours before the game time, so the regular pick-up time in Banff for a 7pm game time would be about 5pm and for Canmore, 5:15pm.

The Vancouver Canucks are taking on the Edmonton Oilers tonight which is set to be a high-paced game.
